The number of visitors has changed recently
-------------------------------------------
Normally changes in the traffic to your site is because of a
change in where your visitors are coming from.

An important section within the stats is the "Referrers" section,
this tells you where visitors to your site are coming from, and
comparing the referrers over time will give you an idea of why
your stats may have changed.

In most cases visits from search engines, in particular google
are the largest source of referrers, so changes in the average
number of visits is often related to your search engine listings.
The search engines are constantly updating their algorthyms and
so it is inevitable that your rankings will change.

Have you read the articles on our wiki about being listed in
search engines? If you wish to increase the number of visitors to
your website we recommend you read the articles on our wiki and
see what you can do to actively improve your search engine
listings. Whilst our website template system covers a lot of the
technical aspects, many of the most important points are steps
you need to take and cannot be done "automagically".
