The brand new course is ideal preparation for students wishing to pursue a career in media design and production, providing a good balance of technical skill and creative process, with a real focus on employability.

One local agency thinks the combination of creative exploration and technical knowledge is a cracking combination.

“We need people who not only have creative flair, talent and initiative, but who also have a broad understanding of a range of media and business practice. Our work is varied and increasingly involves an element of digital design, be it a flash promotion, a press campaign or the total development of a complex CMS driven site”,

said Megan Lomax, Artistic Director – Rubbaglove.

“Rubbaglove needs people with abilities ranging from thinking through a project from initial site maps and creating campaign concepts to implementing the smallest html change. We look forward to watching the course evolve and meeting its students in the future, “

she said.

Foundation Degrees offer an alternative route to university, but also provide the right skills for students to move directly into employment should they wish to bypass further study.

This City and Islington course is delivered in partnership with London Metropolitan University, so students get the advantages of studying in a College environment, but with access to both the College and University facilities.

City and Islington College is enrolling now for September 2008. If you are interested in this exciting new pathway, contact our Course Information Unit on 020 7700 9200, or email courseinfo@candi.ac.uk.
