Rational Rec celebrates five years of Artquest

Rational Rec is a monthly inter-art social occasion based at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club, incorporating sound, music, text, performance and film into a damn good night out. Come along and be artistically, intellectually and alcoholically stimulated

Plus Minus music ensemble will perform five specially selected pieces: - Laurence Crane - Cello Piece for Michael Parsons - Robert Ashley/Alex Waterman - In Memorium Esteban Gomez - Christopher Fox - Generic Composition #7 - Matthew Shlomowitz - Slow Flipping Harmony) - culminating in John Cage’s ‘Five’ in lieu of happy birthday.
Catch special guest Simon Bookish performing one of his inimitable sets, or simply relax with the ‘five’ themed catering and a big, big cake.
Each table will host different selected party games - a metaphor for the art world, or just a bit of fun? You decide.
