Keith Hyett is a local classical guitarist and Music in the Church at Aust is pleased to have him play in the church. Much of his music has its roots in our landscape - the Vale of Severn, the river itself and the Cotswold Hills. The music is varied in mood and texture, but above all it is meticulously played, with a unique and balanced style - melodies weaving in and out of underlying, occasionally sombre themes.
Keith, as a child, was taught to play the piano, and bought his first guitar, after becoming entranced by Bohemian Rhapsody in 1975. Unusually he played electric guitar first, before buying his acoustic guitar, and brought out his first solo album in 1988, with two CDs following three cassettes. Since then he has progressed to where he is now. You will find that Keith’s music stays with you, lingering in your memory. It is profoundly satisfying. Keith Hyett will perform at Aust Church on Saturday 18th November at 8pm. Tickets are =A39 full and =A36 concessions, available from the Boar’s Head, Aust, or Olveston Stores.
