Something Fishy
We’ve all heard about the one that got away so for http://www.writelink.co.uk latest Arena competition we’re looking for a tall tale loosely based on fishing, fish or anything with a fishing connection.
This flash fiction contest might be a true account of a battle royal with a barracuda off the Florida Keys or it could be a whopping yarn about granddad hooking a mermaid from Blackpool pier!
Either way stories must read like fiction and be no more than 250 words long.
Closing date is the 10th November and there will be £20 for the winner and publication on the website.
There is no entry fee for Writer members of the site who can enter as many times as wished.
Writelink’s Arena competitons differ from most other contests in that entries are posted directly to the site and may be commented on and rated by other members who are also welcome to comment and rate in return.
Judging is however, by an independent adjudicator whose report appears on the website.
Details and latest postings can be seen on the site. http://writelink.co.uk/arena_main.php?cat=a_somethingfishy
