London Crypt - Call for Submissions
A chance for artists to exhibit in a very unique location in a London crypt.
Illumini will be a mixed media exhibition runningf rom 3rd sept 2008-18th sept
2008 (set up and take down dates are 2 days before and after)
Dedicated to the subject of ??light??. Artists should submit works that express
and reflect different artistic perspectives and interpretations through various
ideas of using light as a media in their work.,or inspired by light in their
work. This could be projections, video, artificialor natural light (bare in
mind it is a crypt). Or it can be as open as paintings,sculptures or performance
art inspired by light
Open to all Artistsin the uk
To submit your work by the dead line 1stMarch, the earlier the better
Please send up to 6 photos small jpegs or web linksof youtube/myspace/websites
depending on the work by email. To illumini@hotmail.co.uk
And a up to date CV including all contact details andartist statement
And a brief description on how your work will suit thisexhibition and space.
To submit is free of charge
This will be a team effort from all the artists involved a great way to network
while setting up and promoting your exhibitionto participate you will be expected
to contribute some time and talent inpromoting the show .
We have managed to get this great venue and good location near Euston station
for a good price. The cost of the venue will be divided between all artist
involved approx £85 each plus contributing to promotional costs.
This is an amazing opportunity for artist to exhibit at a great London location
at a very affordable cost.
We are also happy to hear from any performance artist that use light in their
performance or character walk a rounds for the PV night.We can accommodate
your travel expenses and a small fee.
