UK’s First Practising muslim Band in Concert
The Ulfah Collective are the first practising Muslim female band. Having recently performed at Wembley Arena with celebrities such as Robin Gibb, they are now performing in Birmingham for a special Eid Concert.
THE JOURNEY TO THE GREAT MOSAIC WOMEN ONLY CONCERT Saturday 4 November 2006, 6.30-9.30pm at Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, Round Room
A celebration of women, art and spirituality in an evening of entertainment Women. Spoken Word Nasheeds. Spirituality Creativity. A collection of stories brought together by different women about their own spiritual journeys, wonderfully told through poetry, Islamic songs and music (nasheeds), comedy and Quran recitation. Based in the west midlands, Ulfah Arts is committed to developing female talent and audiences by promoting spiritual and harmonious events for women. This Ulfah Arts performance is part of Art & Islam, a year ‘long programme’ of exhibitions and events at Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery.
